Where:                        Various locations throughout Lancashire
Time commitment    2 hours per event

Meet’n’Match is a specialist dating and friendship agency for adults with learning disabilities in Lancashire. People with learning disabilities want to be the same as everybody else; this means they want friends and maybe a partner. Meet’n’Match provides an opportunity for adults with learning disabilities to meet new people and socialise at group events or on one-to-one dates.
Meet’n’Match has members of all ages from all over Lancashire.

We need volunteers to:
Encourage and support group members with learning disabilities to access dates, social groups and events in local communities. The dates and events will take place in venues such as local pubs, clubs, cinemas and restaurants. Volunteers will be asked to:

Help at group dates and events – such as speed dating and karaoke
Pick up and drop off group members at dates and group events
Chaperone one-to-one dates
Help members to access other local groups and social events (run by partner organisations)

You will need to be:
Reliable and responsible
A good communicator
Patient
Enthusiastic
A ‘people person’
Aware of, or willing to learn about, the challenges facing people with a learning
Preferably a car driver (although this is not essential)
Willing to undertake a CRB check
